The Public affairs & Sustainability manager role will oversee the related activities in Europe. In this role you will activate the sustainability proposition and will work closely with key stakeholders in the agri-food chain. Public affairs and networking activity in the context of circular valorization of co-products is an integral part of the role.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be leading public affairs and will develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders within key accounts, meat & dairy chain, policy makers, industry committees and other stakeholders in the Agri-Food chain.
  • You will develop a structured approach to public affairs & issue management and will develop and lead a European-wide Duynie Group expert group to ensure national engagement and policy implementation.
  • You will provide expert advice and internal training on circular valorization; and will be involved in sustainability initiatives e.g Science Based Targets Initiative, Global Feed LCA Institute.
  • You will lead key corporate communications projects (incl crisis communications)

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of public affairs or other relevant experience with proven ability to influence decision making at internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Relevant knowledge of the agri-food and feed industry
  • Relevant bachelor or master degree
  • Relevant knowledge of sustainability related topics including environmental foot printing, Life cycle assessment, science based target initiative
  • Strong commercial understanding of circularity and sustainability related concepts, able to identify business opportunities.
  • A strategic mindset, analytical & programme management skills, the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Great communication and engagement skills, digital minded and data-driven
  • International mindset, willingness to travel
